High-quality environment at the foot of the Dawu Mountain in the Pingtung Plain

Odiva’s Chunfacheng Pig Farm provides its Pinpu black pigs with the fodder and living environment they need during their respective growth stages. In addition, it digitally records black pig-related growth and carcass data to analyze fodder efficiency, pig growth rates, and pig physique. The goals are to produce sustainable black pig species and achieve complete breeding and raising.

Clean fodder and water

Carefully selected local, high-quality fodder and drink

Since the establishment of the pig farm, we have insisted on feeding our black pigs with precise amounts of clean fodder (i.e., Pingtung’s local agricultural byproducts), and allowed them to grow at a natural pace so that they carry favorable fat and nutrient content. We feed our black pigs RO-filtered drinking water collected from underground water found at the foot of the Dawu Mountain, ensuring that they eat and drink well. The healthy diet allows Odiva black pig pork to boast optimal quality.

A comfortable, livable, and animal-friendly pig farm

Grow safely from birth to maturity

We allow our black pigs 270 days to mature, provide them with sufficient living space required during their respective growth stages, and control temperature, ventilation, and watering via AI to allow them to live in a comfortable living environment. Additionally, we built Taiwan’s first-ever animal-friendly farrowing house and a negative pressure-regulated pig farm with controlled temperature (28°C) and humidity, ensuring that our pigs to live a good life and elevating our pork quality.

Recycling energy to set a benchmark for Taiwan’s pig farming industry

We monitor our black pigs using computers and manage their data to create a high-tech smart farm environment. Also, our pig farm utilizes professional equipment, purifies sewage to be later used for farm washing, transfers our compost to local farmers to be used as fertilizers, and collects marsh gas to be employed as the backup heat supply for the farm. In the future, we plan to incorporate solar and wind energy. By saving water, electricity, and manpower, we strive towards the goal of developing into a sustainable, self-sufficient green pig farm.

In 2018, we sold live black pigs to Hong Kong, becoming the first company to do so after the foot-and-mouth disease and creating business opportunities for Taiwan to export its live black pigs overseas. We uphold the philosophies of “Perfect, Premium, Professional, and Promise.” SHKU Foods Co., Ltd. created the ultimate Taiwan black pig in Pingtung, Taiwan, introducing the pig species “Pinpu Black Pigs” and the brand “Odiva.” By engaging in seed stocking and sustainable operations as well as offering delicious, high-quality Taiwan black pig pork that features healthy fat and wonderful aroma, SHKU Foods Co., Ltd. aims to export the black pig pork to the rest of the world, allowing the Odiva Pinpu black pigs to be enjoyed worldwide!
